Deep Tech Networking Brunch
Coffee, breakfast bites, and the deep tech community in one room. Bakar Labs for Energy & Materials, the Berkeley Gateway Accelerator, and COMPASS are teaming up for a Friday morning of good conversation — founders, investors, researchers, corporate innovators, and government partners all in the mix. Come share what you're building, trade notes on where the industry's headed, and leave with a few connections worth keeping.

The Quantum Future: Risks and Opportunities for the Black community
Quantum computing is coming fast, and BGA is bringing the East Bay Black community together on Saturday, September 12 to unpack what it means: from cybersecurity risks to new job, startup, and investing opportunities. Expect keynotes, panels, and breakout conversations with founders, investors, and researchers over breakfast
Berkeley's Next Wave: A Deep Tech Founder & Investor Mixer
An evening with the people building the hard stuff. Cal Innovation Fund and the Berkeley Gateway Accelerator are teaming up for a two-hour mixer: six founders pitching, two minutes apiece, then drinks, bites, and open conversation with institutional investors, angels, and friends of the Berkeley deep tech ecosystem.
Beyond Discovery: Closed-Loop Systems & Defensible AI-Bio
The first wave of AI-bio was about discovery. What comes next? As AI capabilities become table stakes, the frontier is shifting — toward deployment, closed-loop systems, real-world data, and defensibility. Join Berkeley Gateway Accelerator, DiagnoBacs, and Bits in Bio for a sharp, debate-forward panel on what it actually takes to build enduring AI-native biology companies.
Everyone Lies in Silicon Valley: Raising, Surviving, and Building for the Long Game
A keynote from Daniel Theobald (Founder of Vecna Robotics, Chairman of The Founders Guild) and founder panel on deep tech fundraising, SF burnout, and building for the long game.
Agent Infrastructure Roundtable 2026
Five thousand people will be at the Berkeley Agentic AI Summit 2026 talking about what agents can do. This is the room next door for the people who have to make these agents run at scale. The next wave of agents needs product builders and infrastructure builders in the same room. This evening brings together leaders across silicon, systems, cloud, frameworks, and enterprise agent teams to shape the stack agents will run on. This is not a product promotion event, and nothing is being sold here. Aramas is hosting because the conversation needs a host, not a sponsor. We sit at the center of these builds and are bringing that center of gravity together.
BGA Summer Academy Showcase
Celebrate the first BGA Summer Academy cohort as students take the stage to share what they built, researched, and learned during three weeks at Berkeley Gateway Accelerator. The showcase will feature student presentations, real project outputs, and a look inside a program designed around deep tech, venture, leadership, communication, and career-building skills.
